Treated Plastic Microscope Slides

Caplugs® Evergreen Treated Plastic Microscope Slides are versatile, low-cost microscope slides, manufactured under rigorous quality control conditions to produce low background readings while in use. Our slides are suitable wherever glass slides are used, but considerably safer due to the higher impact resistance of plastic in comparison to standard glass. All of our plastic microscope slides are tissue culture treated and gamma sterilized, making them ideal for applications such as cell/tissue cultures, immunostaining, immobilization of DNA/antibodies/proteins, microarrays, hybridization studies, etc.

The slides are not resistant to the following chemicals: ethanol, methanol, phenol, organic acids (e.g.: acetic acid), gasoline, aromatic solvents (e.g.: benzene, toluene, xylene and turpentine), chlorinated hydrocarbons (e.g.: methylene chloride and tetrachloromethane), ketones, etc.
